Yoga is such a versatile practice and can be adapted to suit your changing needs to support you through your life chapters.
From helping teens to connect with their emotions, supporting you through pregnancy and postpartum, to guiding you through managing the stresses and strains of adult life through various forms of yoga that address different needs.
I specialise in 5 areas of yoga:
Accessible Yoga - chair based, amputee, adapting for injury or medical condition
Pregnancy Yoga - guided, gentle movement for anyone from second trimester onwards to help relieve tension, feel more connected to your baby and prepare for birth
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - a slow mindful practice or a strengthening power flow to calm or uplift your energy
Yin Yoga - closely associated with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin Yoga is a floor based practice that helps release tension from the connective tissues and improve the flow of energy through the meridian lines in the body.
Ayur-Yoga - the ancient science of Ayurveda fused with yoga to bring you a practice that suits your unique mind-body type. The art of Ayurveda helps you to deeply understand your mind and body in finding balance in a holistic way by identifying your ‘Dosha’ profile (mind-body type), from this a seasonal yoga practice can be designed to help you feel more connected to what you need to feel more you.
One of the best ways of healing an injury or preventing injuries, Pilates is a system of exercises that have been created to mobilise and stabilise the deep supporting muscle groups around the joints.
With small, focused movements centred around the shoulders, spine, hip joints as well as the core abdominal muscles, Pilates can help you improve your posture, strengthen your abdominal muscles and joints and holistically maintain your health and wellbeing.
I offer a Classical Mat Pilates sessions for anyone from beginners, those recovering from injury or if you just like a bit of Pilates at home.
I offer the option of adding a 15 minute meditation session to the end of your class. This is perfect for anyone who is new to the practice and you want to learn the basics or if you have some experience and like to finish your session with some time in meditation.
